Two final-year students pursuing Electrical Engineering at the Barbados Community College (BCC) will benefit from on-the-job training at Arawak Cement.

This follows on the heels of Arawak’s partnership with the Darryl Jordan Secondary School, in which the company also agreed to facilitate training of students (4) in order for them to achieve the Caribbean Vocational Qualification (CVQ).

Arawak considers these partnerships as very beneficial since they are geared towards building the human capital of Barbados. Additionally, it provides the company with the opportunity to assess young talent and to provide guidance and training while honouring its Corporate Social Responsibility.
