As the world marked International Women’s Day on March 8, Arawak Cement took the opportunity to honour its amazing ladies at an interactive luncheon, ahead of the date, on Friday March 06. In a
relaxed atmosphere, female employees reflected on the progress made by women in society as demonstrated through acts of determination and courage. The ladies also shared insights on how they overcame various life challenges.

Bonnie Alexis, HR Manager / Group Coordinator; Patrice Duke Knight, Production Coordinator and Sheryllyn Welch-Payne, Procurement Coordinator all shared inspiring stories. Carlos Cordero, General Manager and Nelson Blanco, Operations Director spoke about how the women in their lives shaped them to be the good men they are today. They then presented all mthe ladies with roses.

The luncheon ended with Arawak’s powerful women expressing gratitude for the company’s efforts in making them feel truly appreciated, valued and extra special.
